At Bayliss Mobility, we genuinely care about the needs of our customers. We’re a family-run business based in Driffield, East Yorkshire. Read about our history, our online mobility shop and our guarantee to you.
Bayliss Mobility History
Bayliss Mobility was established by Carol and Gary in 2001. Since then, the organisation has gone from strength to strength. This growth has been thanks to our desire to do right by our customers. Now many of our clients are directed towards us by word-of-mouth recommendations. People are unlikely to make a recommendation to a close friend or a loved one unless they are truly happy with the service they received, so we consider this to be the ultimate seal of approval.
Carol has over 15 years of experience in the mobility and healthcare industry across a range of areas. Her knowledge of incontinence aids, in particular, is second to none. Our incontinence range covers both washable and disposable products from Tena, Martex, Kylie, Lille and Kanga. Carol played an integral role in sourcing these products, which we believe to be the very best in the industry.
Gary joined a subcontractor of the NHS in 1993 and trained as a bench engineer repairing wheelchairs. During his long career supplying the national health service he was later promoted to general manager overseeing all aspects of wheelchair repairs and refurbishment. Gary now has over 25 years of experience in the mobility industry. In 2001 he started his own business retailing disability and mobility products.
His specialist areas are home demonstrations, access, advice on wheelchair ramps, and wheelchair repairs/servicing. Just like Carol, Gary prides himself in offering the best customer service and advice to every person who gets in touch with Bayliss Mobility. Along with offering his expertise in mobility aids, he is caring, empathetic and ready to listen.
Because Bayliss Mobility is a family business, offering a personal touch from the first moment you contact us, we set many of our customers at ease straight away. We make it our business to get to know you and your mobility requirements. From there, we will give you the best service possible based on an informed series of conversations. This is the Bayliss Mobility way.
In 2010, our excellence in customer service was recognised by the ‘York Community Pride Awards, sponsored by the York Press. We are proud to have been selected as finalists in the ‘Service with a Smile.’ category.

Our Guarantee To You
Bayliss Mobility is a provider of disability and mobility aids and equipment. However, that hardly scratches the surface of what we offer. At Bayliss Mobility, we believe that each individual is unique and should be treated accordingly. Whether you are young, elderly or middle-aged, we will have the equipment, as well as the right approach, to suit your needs and put you at ease.
